I had just come back into the big apple from a trip and it was my first night out, I felt inspired when I opened my shoe closet, and I said, why not wear out two different shoes form the same manufacturer?, same heel height but different styles, similar color, why not experiment? And as I went downtown to one of my favorite watering holes in the middle of chinatown I rocked them both till wee hours of the nite. So fun!
The floor of this particular New York taxi cab had suspicious substances, so I was forced to not touch it and I had the phone in my hand to capture the moment. These Zara blue sandals reminded me of a pair of Marc Jacobs Resort 2005 collection sandals that where made in blue denim with navy 3mm pipping in patent leather, I still have them somewhere in one of my closets. Fun times were those!
I got this pair of fab sandals when I was working in Italy at one of the best factories in the Veneto region. They where designed by Laurence Dacade for Givenchy. The leather is super soft and they are very comfortable.
These Balenciaga Pre Fall 2007/8 shoes have an amazing construction. The front platform shape resembles a horses hoof, which since I am horse lover myself could not resist the temptation to have them. Made in Italy of course!
These fab sandal booties are from one of my favorite all time designers Azzedine Alaia, http://www.alaia.fr. I am wearing them with bleu royal Wolford opaque stockings. http://www.wolford.com
Last year thanks to the help of a good friend in the Italian Tuscan hills, I made a paper sketch turn into a real shoe under the label VALBLU. These shoes are inspired by the skies star constellations, they are asymmetrical, where the left and the right shoes are different but there is a common theme that runs through them, why not right? So fun!
These Alexander McQueen shoes where painted with acrylic paint for that smooth slick texture, they have an internal platform and the toe is semi pointed, the shape is wonderful!
